High Strength Design

Our location here in Utica, NY means that we are well aware of the potential stress that the weather can put on a structure. In particular, snow load must be considered when designing a roof system. We offer several different roof options for our shelters, but if heavy snow loads are a major concern, a hip roof design may be your best bet. This photo is proof that our hip roofs are up for the task. We estimate there to be at least 700 lbs. of weight on this 5x10 hip roof for this test. The roof did not show any signs of stress with this weight on it, so we are sure it could handle much more as well. Our hip roofs are factory assembled, helping to ease installation time and cost and ensure the highest quality product. If you require more definitive confirmation of exact load capabilities, PE Stamped drawings are always available.
