This “Walkway Enclosure” is yet another example of Austin Mohawk's ingenuity. This enclosure, located at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport, provides a protected area for airline passengers to walk from their vehicle to the airport terminal. It is constructed using the same basic materials used for our standard Bus Shelters: aluminum extrusions, tempered safety glass, and deck pan roofing. The enclosure pictured is 335 feet long, 9 feet wide, and has an interior clearance height of 90 inches. The structure is essentially a basic bus shelter, reimagined into the 335-foot covered airport walkway you see here.
A PE Stamp is included to ensure that the structure meets all code requirements. We added interior lighting to make it a safe, well-lit environment. The Walkway Enclosure provides comfort and security and is perfect for parking lots or building complexes where weather protection is needed for long walkway spans.
